There are things you just can't capture with a camera. Wether it depends on that the product isn't available yet or if it's hard to photograph doesn't matter. There is a way to get the image you need or are looking for, 3D graphics. Images of products or places not yet in physical form or illustrations of hard to photograph objects is not a problem to create.

Animation is not just for cartoons. You can create an animation to show a product in different poses or a fly-through of hard to reach places. Mostly I create animation for TV/Video (D1 PAL) but animations for the web or other electronic publishing is also doable.
